Matthew Bohn – Founder
Originally from New Hartford, New York, Matt moved to Maryland over ten years ago. Matt is a lifelong green industry professional who gained extensive experience in the turfgrass and landscape businesses before joining the lighting and irrigation side of the industry. With over fifteen years of work experience, combined with a formal education from Penn State University, gives Matt a unique understanding of our clients’ needs. During his off-hours, Matt enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, while trying to squeeze in an occasional round of golf.
Matt founded Bright Water Illumination and Irrigation Incorporated in a response to help fix bad irrigation and landscape lighting. Too often customers only source of irrigation and lighting maintenance service comes from companies who use irrigation service as an add on to their landscaping business; or from irrigation companies that are focused on new system installs. These companies are not designed to focus on providing high quality system maintenance. Instead, they worry about their production quantities and not the quality needed to properly maintain a system. Most of these companies do not have well-educated or experienced technicians and use cheap products. We only use high quality professional grade people and products to separate ourselves in the market place. Matt is also dedicated to water conservation through proper water management, specializing in water conservation through sustainable irrigation using new smart technologies.
Educating people about proper irrigation and landscape lighting is a growing segment of our business. Matt enjoys working with customers to train and educate them about how irrigation and landscape lighting should be done.
